Services
:  Instead of spending time in jail, eligible participants complete a substance abuse program supervised by a judge. The program is made up of three phases, each with specific tasks and goals to be completed before advancing to the next phase.
Referral Process
:  Probation- Once a defendant has entered a guilty plea, the defendant’s attorney may ask the judge to order a Drug Court assessment to determine if the defendant is eligible for the program.
Diversion– Defendants may also enter the Drug Court program through the jurisdiction’s local Class D Diversion procedures. The judge may order a Drug Court assessment to determine eligibility.

The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Kentucky investigates gender broadly conceived, and the cultures and contributions of women worldwide from feminist/womanist perspectives. They offer degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

University Health Service (UHS) offers services for full-time undergraduate UK students and students who have paid the health fee. They offer primary care, women’s health, nursing and behavioral health services as well as health education services for nutrition, tobacco cessation and sexual health. Joanne Brown, a provider at UHS Student Health Service, is also affiliated with UK HealthCare’s LGBTQ* specific clinic.
